About Us

I opened Fuchsia Tiki in March 2019 after realizing the Hudson Valley was lacking any sort of tiki or tropical cocktail bar. I didn't realize it then, but I had built the very first (and only) real tiki bar north of NYC. A place built on rum as a serious category, not an afterthought, backed by the kind of education and technique most high end bars reserve for rare whiskey.

When Fuchsia was forced to close in August 2023 and my wife & I opened Lone Wolf in just two short months, November 2023, the goal was to prove to the region that there was more range in my work. We aspired to build a craft cocktail program that was technique-driven and education-forward, built to stand alongside the best bars in the region. It did that. But somewhere we lost our way by trying to be more things to more people and appeal to everyone. The identity that made the original bar worth building in the first place got lost. Tiki Sundays kept Fuchsia's memory alive one night a week while the rest of the bar drifted somewhere else.

Lone Wolf now is the correction. One bar, one identity, built fully around what got us here in the first place, tiki done with the same rigor as any serious cocktail program, rum treated like the legitimate category it is, and a menu that doesn't apologize for what it's actually good at.

Lone Wolf isn't trying to be everything to everyone anymore. It's trying to be exactly what we love, for the people who love it too.
